Poetry

Hello everyone,

I hope you enjoyed your weekend. One of my goals is to help Indie writers, self-published and published authors spread the word about their books in an unselfish way.
Of course, sites like The Story Siren, The indelibles and Goodreads are our best resources. I just believe a little help is always good : )

Today I would like to share with you a new author Nicola Black. She writes poetry. Her collection is titled A Story Not Wished to Be Read. I don't read a lot of poetry but was immediately drawn to this collection. I just couldn't put it down! Here is my review on smashwords and Goodreads.

This collection of poems is meaningful and easy to understand. Literally, Ms. Nicola Black writes about the darkness in love and the light in freedom using a simplistic notion of hope. This interpretation might be only in my imagination but the poems show a yearning for a different life away from sadness but with optimism in the beauty of life and love. If you are looking for poetry with frost and flowers, you will enjoy A Story Not Wished to be Read. I love it!
