Read and Write Spirit

During the past twelve weeks I’d seen and marveled at how technology rules not only in social media and publishing but in encouraging young adults to write and read. It’s nice to see tweens and teens using technology not only to socialize but to read and find their ‘writing spirit’ as well. For the most part YA literature is written by adults with a fascination for ghosts, vampires, fairies, high school crushes and anything to do with the tribulations we go through our teenage years. Now in days we see more talented young writers express their feelings by putting it in a novel. Fresh from the tribulations of teenage-hood. It’s refreshing to see this trend and I hope this continues to grow because it gives us “adult writers” a window to the past and inspiration for the future. One of these young writers’ is Saga Berg; she is the author of Nordic Fairies. From the moment I read the blurb I became intrigued with the story of Svala and Viggo.
