Strange Love

 
After a freak slippery accident transports a chivalrous, rebellious city girl to a surreal magical land deep in the bottom of the ocean, she set outs on a fantastic journey where she finds an enchanted creature with the power to send her back home. They encounter a corrupt white shark that is threatening their lives and wants to prevent her from finding the magical key and to experience her first encounter with love.

Read and Write Spirit

During the past twelve weeks I’d seen and marveled at how technology rules not only in social media and publishing but in encouraging young adults to write and read. It’s nice to see tweens and teens using technology not only to socialize but to read and find their ‘writing spirit’ as well. For the most part YA literature is written by adults with a fascination for ghosts, vampires, fairies, high school crushes and anything to do with the tribulations we go through our teenage years. Now in days we see more talented young writers express their feelings by putting it in a novel. Fresh from the tribulations of teenage-hood. It’s refreshing to see this trend and I hope this continues to grow because it gives us “adult writers” a window to the past and inspiration for the future.
